Artmoney

Artmoney is a global, alternative currency of art. Started by Lars Kraemmer in december, 1997.  Today the project has grown to become one of  the worlds largest art project with more than 1000 artists from more than 40 nations. Since the beginning of the project, artists have issued artmoney for more than ½ billion Danish Kroner.

Until 2009, the project went under the name: “Bank of International Artmoney”. The project was sued by the Danish Government for using the name “bank” without permission. We lost the case in court, and have there fore been forced to change the name to: “Artmoney”
