Statement

It was not a choice to become an artist. It was the final option, after failing so many of the regular trades of a well functioning man in an orderly society.

Born in Canada by Danish parents. Grown up in Northern Denmark in a square middle class community of yellow and red brick standard houses with central heating and thermo glass panorama windows.

Passed exams in the required educations, but failed the exam of life. I wasn’t prepared for this – after 20 years of school…

At the core of art I find the core of living and the core of myself in the heart of my fellow man. I have landed in the mud of the art world and planted my roots deep in the dark substance in a mixed mood of giving up, resenting the rest of the world, and hoping for better times to (be)come.

I draw, paint and breath, and therefore I can (under)stand life and living bit by bit (thank you Lennox) in order to get by and get with it.
